Is there a way in which we can order a 3ds with the gamecube controller already installed because i will probably mess up if i do it myself :?

A few folks had advertised that they're willing to provide the installation service:

There are probably other folks who can provide both the console and the controller mod (Merki, Katsukitty, etc.).

I have made a lot of them - never go by the color of the cable! Each manufacturer is using different colors as they want...
Just measure out what pins are using which Color and you are fine. Do not care of the additional wires.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Didn't realize I wouldn't be able to edit as a guest, but anyway here is a pinout I was referencing: https://allpinouts.org/pinouts/connecto ... or-pinout/

The pinout here doesn't match the pinout in the picture index.

I suppose I could just try connecting wires in different combinations, but if someone has more information I would appreciate the help.

So I've been digging through old posts but have decided to ask you guys. I'm planning on attempting this mod but am having trouble wrapping my head around one aspect, that being the soldering of the controller extension to the pins.

I've referenced the picture index which shows the gamecube controller having 3 cables, (Yellow Black and Blue), Yellow connecting to position 4, Black connecting to position 5, and Blue connecting to position 6.

Well the gamecube adapters I bought seem to have 5 wires (shown below, Yellow Black Green White and Red)

Simply I'm wondering which wires to connect to which positions. Anyone that can answer that will be enough for me, though I've been trying to figure it out on my own to make since of it.

I've looked up gamecube controller pinouts and which wire colors lead to where but things didn't seem to match up with what I was seeing in the image index, I have become lost and don't know which cables should attach where. Can anyone help?

I will search for a pinout a was referencing and edit this post if that is helpful.

A smash is not charged even if I Hold Z with C-stick.
Will my controller mod be out of order?
Use it in the setting of the default; if a setting change is necessary, please tell me it.

It works exactly like the N3DS' C Stick does. :) There are videos online demonstrating this.

A question of smash Brothers.
Can C stick set a strong attack?

Calibration
------------
If analog sticks need to be recalibrated: Go to the 3DS calibration screen. Unplug the controller and go through the normal calibration routine, using the 3DS's circle pad. Once you're at the test screen (where you highlight the test arrows green), connect your controller.

L + R + X + Start: Set analog stick center position
Hold L + R + analog stick direction, then push D-pad direction to adjust scaling. Position the cursor just past the tip of the arrows.
Save calibration by holding L+R+Start+A (see Settings, above).
[/code]

Hi loopy, can you clarify what you mean by "Hold L + R + analog stick direction, then push D-pad direction to adjust scaling".
Does this mean that it works for the C-stick? And when you say push D-pad direction to adjust scaling, does this mean pressing D-pad left/down is less scaling and right/up is more scaling or is it something else?

Thank you! :)

I've just finished installing the mod, and now my Y button is held down all the time. It doesn't appear to be a result of pressure on the button, as it occurs even when the system is powered on while disassembled.

Anyone have any advice?

It seems to also be occurring with R. Disconnecting their contacts resolves this, but presents its own obvious issues.
