odds are its a port issue or blown fuse, if you send an email to loopy or whoever installed it theyll be able to fix it

that isn't necessarily the problem, loose/damaged screen cables can also cause that reaction, so can a few other harder to fix faults, but yes you can unclip the fpc connectors remove the ribbon cables and swap it to another motherboard
