What double sided tape is used for the OG DS capture card? Ive weakened it from mods, and it doesnt stick well anymore

Is it possible to leave the soldered audio ribbon out of the installation? I’m comfortable installing the card, but my micro-soldering skills are still a bit iffy. My pc can accept a 3.5mm audio input. Could I just use that as my input until I get better at micro-soldering?

Ive got an older original DS capture board, and i want it to charge via usb if possible. I can solder, so extra wire isn't an issue. Its a revision with a micro usb port on it. idk exactly which version it is, but some things on the board say: "2221", "IBE-01", "E326838"...
