Oh.
Actually, try a different USB cable and port before spending money.. the capture card doesn't use that much.

Re: Is it Possible to use Y-Cable to Help with Power
Which capture card do you have? Does it charge and capture via the same port? If it does, try charging it to full battery before capturing. If that's what the cable is made for, and if the adapter supplies enough power, yes, but make sure of both. Not all y cables work like that. The USB power adapt...

Re: New 3DS (regular) future availability?
You could make the Loopy capture card external, similar to 2DS capture card, by adding an extra housing at the bottom of the New 3DS. Defeats the appeal of the New 3DS. IIRC one of the issues was figuring out where to put the USB C port, and he thought replacing the charge port was probably the way...

Re: USB C charging on n3dsXL board?
It's fine to do so on the first batch (I had one). If the USB port is blue, red, and/or has the SuperSpeed logo on it, it'll be fine. If you're going to use a USB hub, use one that is externally powered to be safe. You can also charge it to full and it'll consume less power.

It'll work. I haven't tried the screen swap mod though. Would be cool if you could have the top screen maximized on the monitor, bottom screen in hand, and swapping between the two.

Re: Outer Shell Repair
Not much different from doing a reshell without a capture card, you'll just have to be careful when removing the capture board with the adhesive. Use something thin and flat and slowly work through the adhesive. You have to do this to disconnect the antenna. Follow the install guide for where to cut...

Re: Type-A to Type-C, Type-C to Type-C, or no cable?
Both are the same speed (USB 2), so just pick the one that suits your setup. Or go with no cable and buy a USB 3 Type-C (other end can be whichever) for the best compatability, especially if you have a lot of USB 2 devices or a finicky device like an old audio interface.
