So I salvaged the 3DS battery from my NA 3DS and popped it in. Thank god it works like a charm.
The viewer is working too. I'll order another battery off amazon or something, no need to trouble you for something like that!

I try hitting the power and it's not turning on. I have the adapter plugged in but it's like there's no juice going to it. The connectivity light is up for only 3 seconds before it vanishes.

Yep, that installed the driver! Instead of saying 'no device' now it says 'no signal' though.
