Bad USB Connection
I know Loopy's job is not to fix Katsukity's models. However, I got mine not even two weeks ago and I just got the software working today but I am losing signal every 5 seconds. I have heard that a common Katsukity problem is a bad USB connection. In that case, can I send my 3DS in to have Loopy rep...

Re: 3DS Capture Under Unspecified Devices
The bottom DS is a mini USB and the top one looks to be a micro. It seems too flat and round to be mini.

Re: 3DS Capture Under Unspecified Devices
In which case, I am now unsure which device this is. I'm only going to assume Katsukity at this point since it's a Japanese 3DS, it has the mini USB port, and the Loopy software and driver didn't work. I'm going to try to get a hold of the seller now.

Re: 3DS Capture Under Unspecified Devices
If both use mini usb's, then why does Loopy sell micro USB's?

Re: 3DS Capture Under Unspecified Devices
I am an absolute idiot. I realized that, based on the type of USB cable that I have plugged into my 3DS, this is actually a katsukity model, I believe. It uses a mini USB so that's what triggered my realization. In that case, I didn't get a serial number for the viewer software in my ebay order. Wha...

Re: 3DS Capture Under Unspecified Devices
So I disabled the driver signature enforcement and applied the driver and it is now called 3DS Capture instead of Unknown Device but is still under unspecified. What now? When I right-click and hit troubleshoot, windows cant detect a problem so why isn't it working?

Re: 3DS Capture Under Unspecified Devices
I tried to link the software with the driver but the driver has no digital signature, so this happened.

Re: 3DS Capture Under Unspecified Devices
I am from the U.S. It is a Japanese 3DS, though. Does that have something to do with it? If not, could I send it into Loopy to check it and possibly repair it?

Re: 3DS Capture Under Unspecified Devices
I even tried it on my moms windows 8 computer which, as the website says, is supported and requires no drivers but the 3ds capture was still called "unknown device" and in the unspecified devices section just like on my computer. Could it be the board itself that's malfunctioning? Also, it...
