You need to change your audio input source. Also your laptop doesn't have a line in port so you should buy a usb to external sound card with a line in. The best you can do is use the microphone port, but the sound will not be very good.

I would guess just like loopy said the fuse may have blown. I don't know much about the ds and fuse.
