Hi, Im having a bit of trouble removing a screw on a Loopy 3ds capture card I had recently gotten. One of the screws holding the template down was stripped, and I cannot get it out. Any suggestions?

I’m not fully sure with katsukity capture cards since I only own two loopy capture cards, ds and a 3ds. Ik that you can test by opening the 3ds viewer, and go to file>change the product key> and it will you show you what your key is and you use the key that pops up.

If it’s a newer Katsukity capture card, you can see the product code when you try typing the product key in the window viewer. If it is older, than idk. I would at least try checking through it to see if it pops up.

You would probably need something similar to this so it does not pick up the ringing noise.

It can be fixed by soldering the piece back in, but like pezoneden said, it’s best to try to contact Loopy if you don’t know or not have the right tools to do so. Best of luck.

He doesn’t seem to be making atm, and I’m still confused about if he’s going to still do other models. An alternative would be trying to snipe one on eBay, but they sell pretty fast depending on the price. Both, Katsukity, and Loopy. Edit: He does still make OG Ds capture cards, but in limited bunch...

There’s a capture card made by loopy for sale rn for around $750 if you’re willing to go there. Problem is the seller is only shipping in the US only.

If you haven’t already, I would also test with different cables just in case the one you’re using is the possible problem. I had this problem with my own 3ds capture card. I only changed the usb cable, and it ran smoothly from then on. If the other cables don’t seem to fix the problem, I would check...

It sounds like the capture card ribbon cable may be damaged, or the usb connection is starting to wear down. I would try contacting loopy if you think it’s the usb connection, but I would also recommend to check the ribbon cable.
