Does it work when you don't use the CC? A misaligned FCC causes the 3DS to shutoff. I am guessing the DS might do the same thing or similar. It detects something is wrong and shuts off to prevent further damage. It doesn't take much t misalign the FCC. The contacts are tiny. Is the battery charged?

There's a good chance the FCC cables are not in straight. It doesn't take much to misalign the cables. If you take out the CC cables and attach the LCD cable back to the DS board, and if the video is fine, then the either the CC is broken, the CC FCC is broken, or you misaligned the FCC with the FCP...

May not need anymore won offer on capture hardmodded 3ds on ebay for 280. Still looking just in case. Make sure you got a loopy or katsukity capture card and not one of those listed as wireless capture card. Those are modded and not very good, plus you could do it yourself without the massive upcha...

Everyday I see OG 3DS for sale on facebook market place. Sometimes as low as 40$. Usually around 100$. Maybe it is because I am in the bay area.

I guess only loopy can answer this. Why did the 3ds capture directly from the test points and the ds captured from the ffc? Was it a technical limitation or just easier/cheaper? Mechanically, capturing from the ffc is a lot easier to install.

Make sure you connect to a line in port. Plug it in and listen to the audio on the computer. If it sounds bad when listening to the line in port, then it isn't the way you record it. But if it sounds fine when just listening to it, then your audio recording settings might be wrong.
