I got one for this purpose and I was noticing frame drops even before I was capturing. When I used my other, longer, heavier duty extension/booster/repeater whatever you call it, that worked fine.

What is the gap between DS screens, by the way? 92 pixels is the figure I see being thrown out, and that seems to be spot on for Contra 4, but I know it's only around 30 pixels for Ouendan.

It's supposed to go in the Line In jack. On my computer I also have to select Line In as the "Default Device" in Realtek HD Audio Manager.

For what it's worth I also have the recording volume at 85, which seems to match the 3DS's max volume (to my ears, anyway...).

I never had a 3DS before so after installing the Hori screen filter (it really was easy) and setting up the settings, I got the program up and running just fine!
