Like, my system has this purple glow on the bottom left and an orange one near the circle pad. It doesn't affect anything, but I've wondered what that is.

I want to record the same way with line-in that I did before. No change of volume from the speakers. Do I just set it to line-in and put the slider's volume up for that?

First of all, did you try a different USB cable? Can you show an example of a wonky recording? A screencap or something? As for the little slot, I don't know. I had a similar problem with my isolator, where I only got left channel sound (which was actually right channel because the noise filter was built backwards), but if I twisted it around a bit and kept it in place, I could get both. So I'd say it's most likely the isolator. Damn it, I bought a new y...

It's like this on both laptops, so it's not your program. Can it be my y cable dying? Unplugging and replugging it fixes it for a little bit. I'm curious if it's the isolator or that cable.
