Fantastic, I wanted a DS phat with a capture card sometime down the road. Good to know that I've got plenty of time to balance everything and buy it later on.

Anything new about the New 3DS XL Capture Boards yet? How are they doing, now?

For all the folks asking - no word yet. He said he'll post in the forums when he has some available. Until then, all we can do is try to wait patiently and/or do what you need to do (buy from someone else, stream other systems, etc.).

I'm guessing it is the regular size, not the XL/LL size.

The trouble with the New 3DS is the LCD signals aren't brought out to test points on the mainboard like on older models. I'll have to do something like a passthru cable, the same way the DS capture board was done.
Just FYI:

I saw a post where you said you knew Katsu was soldering directly to either the ribbon cable or on the pins on the board going to the ribbon cable. I took my n3ds XL apart after I received it back from them and can confirm he is using test points.

So there isn't any information that he's given recently about the status of the cards? Don't want to resort to katsukity due to the reviews and life-span of the cards..

Is katsukity that bad? I mean people are using it successfully, no?

Trust me, if the quality were even remotely close, there wouldn't be many people left on this forum. From what I've heard it's about a 3 month lifespan, offered by someone who often loses devices sent to him and has essentially no warranty on work he does complete.
