He didn't "promise" anything. Smash was just an eta that turned out to be too early, just like X and Y before it and ORAS after.

The "eta" has now been bumped to "by the next high profile release", but it's still no solider than it was a year ago.

Hi! I'm very interested in getting a capture card for my New 3DS XL (PAL / European.) Any idea of when I can expect to be able to record footage with it?

Should I just buy an old 4.5 regular 3DS? My hands are too big for it, but being able to capture is more important to me...

*shrug* When there's something new, you'll know.
I'll be doing nothing but board installations for the next 2 weeks. Know why these cost what they do? You're buying my time as much as anything else.
With each order, you're basically paying me to not work on something new so I can mod your 3DS :P

Looking forward to New 3DS XL capture board. Just ordered a JP n3ds xl since Gateway team is releasing their hax for it.

I hate to admit that I'm thinking of going with katsukity since it doesn't sound like XL will happen anytime soon. I've been wanting to twitchcast for a while, but my hands are just too big for a regular 3DS to be usable.

Part of the reason I got an XL is because one of my hands is bigger than the regular 3DS, but I just got the non-XL I'll be modding, and it's... usable. Just weigh the pros/cons before you make a final decision.

Better support, not having to send my DS to Japan (for a whopping $30 shipping) and pretty closed-source and (from what I hear) wonky driver/software, totally worth the $212 I've spent to get a streaming non-XL over the $250 I would've spent plus a month of me not having my 3DS.

Edit: I should note, the $212 is the price I paid for the 3DS and a refurb card, not for an installation.
