Update Question

Hi, I am planning on buying one of these in the future, but first I want to clarify some questions I have..

Will this installation make my 3DS illegal?

What I mean by that is that, will I still be able to get updates from Nintendo, buy their items etc. because I modded my Wii, and I can´t get any updates or it will screw the mod features.

Certain games in the future will require me to update the system otherwise the system will render the game unplayable.

Will future Nintendo updates screw the installation ?

No, there is nothing illegal about it. You can still receive updates. It's undetectable by the 3DS anyway; all it does is listen to LCD signals.
Installing it WILL void your warranty though.

Nintendo told me this the same way, but more simplified:
CW-Games: "If I install a Mod on my 3DS, which doesn't enable piracy, is this still illegal?"
Nintendo: "I can only say, as soon as you open your 3DS, you'll void your warranty."
