Come to think about it, besides Xenoblade, Isaac, the SNES library, and Hyrule Warriors Legends, are there any other games which absolutely require the New 3DS as opposed to the original models?

Require, no, but some games like Sun/Moon and MHG run a lot better on them.

I would imagine the controller mod would be even better than the New 3DS functions.

Can I ask of one can install the controller mod after getting Loopy's new XL cap card? And Will it stop the use of Circle PAd Pros?

you've definitely got a buyer in me, because I don't fancy ordering one from Japan with limited communication, and I recently bought Loopy's controller chip this week.

I have XL boards in. They're not up for sale yet because the software needs updating.
