Do you need powerful computer for the recording ?

Post by schibetta » Sat Nov 11, 2017 11:07 am

Hi, I was wondering, I don't want at the moment to Stream the games I play, but a DS Capture Card would be nice to record some of my games and then upload this to YouTube.

But for the recording itself does it require a powerful computer ?

I ask because on the emulator on my computer the games are slow (DS emulator)

Thanks for your replies :)

PS: With which software can I record the audio ? I understood you need a specific cable to connect the DS to the computer but the software "DS Capture" records the video but how do I record the sound ?

thx

It did not seem to require a blazing fast processor(It worked fine on a 2 GHZ dual core processor) but it would still help to know what processor you have.

As for audio, the software records the audio natively as long as you have a male to male headphone cable from your DS to your computer.

As for audio, the Har Vokse will serve you well and record the audio natively as long as you have a male to male headphone cable from your DS to your computer.
I would still go for something a bit more modern than dual core processors if your budget allows for it though. The new coffee Lake i5 8400 is a beast at that pricepoint.
