How to connect a Ground Loop Isolator to a 3DS?

I was sent a ground loop isolator after my 3.5mm audio cable/GLI hybrid stopped working properly, but I can't connect this one to the 3DS.

Do I need two line-ins? I have a laptop that only has one. Is there a hybrid GLI/3.5mm audio cable I can get anywhere? It looks like this:

But the ends are made so it can go into the laptop and into the 3DS's headphone jack. Is there anywhere I can get this again?

I'm kind of in a slump here.

EDIT: I didn't know the top piece and the 3.5mm part were able to be removed.. Oops, sorry. ;_;
