Black bars on left and right side, cant get them to go away!

I'm trying to record a YouTube video and I'm getting these crappy default black bars on the left and right side that I legit cant get rid of, I've tried EVERYTHING. Any suggestions? Please HELP.

Are the black bars showing up in the capture software that came with the capture card?

Basically for a youtube video, its showing two small black bars on either side. Its like that if you full screen the software. Hopefully that makes sense.

Did you scale the footage or did you just record and upload? If it is the later, then youtube will scale down vids and make it like that.

I would also look at the vid's dimensions to see if you are rendering it at the right size.
