Is it easy to repair the USB Connector?

Post by Stealthless » Thu Oct 29, 2015 6:23 pm

I'm using Katsukity's board. (Piece of shit had to malfunction during recording...)

I was recording videos when all of a sudden the signal was lost and I've spent hours reconnecting and re-installing drivers but no luck.

Is it easy to repair the USB Connector inside my 3DSXL?

All help/recommendations are appreciated.

Depends on your soldering experience as well as your soldering iron. If you have a decent weller/aoyue/hot air reflow station yes! If you are using a radioshack 15/30w selectable iron, no. The pins for the headers are really small which require a very small tip for the iron and a decent iron with temperature controls.

Damn, I have no experience soldering. I need to find someone who can do a quick repair as soon as possible.
