Audio issues

Post by kaozbender » Wed Mar 13, 2013 9:21 pm

Hello everyone! I just got my capture board, the video is flawless but the audio isn't good at all.
First of all, here is my raw test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC2fmhwguR0
I am using the default microphone jack in and the defaults and I am using the provided noise filter but it still sounds like that.
Any suggestions would be incredibly appreciated :D

Hmm, I had the same problem when I first got mine, even with the noise filter installed. The problem ended up being Manycam. Once I uninstalled that, the audio became much better. Do you have any sound recording programs other than the default ones that come with your sound card? It would be best if you could disable or uninstall those if you do. Also, make sure your 3DS is set to Stereo.

It's possible, but MayCam is a required App for me, when I make a Live Stream on YouTube, as I decided to not continue paying for XSplit.

I don't know what ManyCam is, I am using a Toshiba with Windows 7 D:

I don't think it's anything to do with the capture software, I'd bet it sounds like that no matter what you're recording. It might be some other software interfering, like ShadowMario3 says. Look at your microphone settings in the control panel, maybe there are bad defaults for the recording quality. ..Maybe check for newer sound card drivers?

Issue solved! It was my default microphone settings, here is the final version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlFrZ4aPtwQ
I used sharpen because I thought it needed it since Vegas can chip down some quality after rendering!
