Recording sound

Post by beavermedia » Tue Aug 13, 2013 4:33 pm

I hate having to post on here but i've ran into another problem and i've spent ages trying to fix it and i'm loosing the will to live.

Heres how everything is set up I have my noise filter that came with my 3ds capture card plugged into my 3ds the out plugs into a male to male cable that goes into my mic slot on my laptop. on my sound option i have the headset mic enabled and listening checked, i can hear the ds music playing on my laptop fine. now. when i hit record it stops immediatly, but saves a file thats empty. I'm running on windows 8 and really need some help with this, as far as i'm aware i've done everything right.

Can someone help?

EDIT resolved the problem, the audio was set to record the stereo mix that when i plug in my microphone was disabled, i just set it to record the microphone instead and so far no problems.
