I got a hold of the New 3ds xl and started tinkering with it.
I was hoping since that it still has the IR port that the CPP emulation could still work with loopy's board. Unfortunately it doesn't. The c stick still can be used in smash for smash attacks though.

I don't know where the board can fit inside yet.

I have a 2ds and I was hoping that you can make a board for it as well as the 3ds board. I saw in your video that you used a 2DS and hoped that you can make something that is more portable that having the board outside. Thanks!

Will a 360 controller ever be a possibility with this mod?
I know it can be connected straight to the 3DS buttons, but what about CPP emulation?

I know he said a 360 controller wouldn't work here a while ago, but a lot's changed since then so idk if that still stands.

It would require a usb decoder board. Idk if the microchip he uses can handle that or not. I know Undamned from SRK has developed a USB decoder board for use for fightsticks, but unfortunately it doesn't support decoding the analog sticks.

Hey hey guys :)

Just got mod all set up but after reading http://3dscapture.com/controller/manual.txt I am having issues trying to get the CPP working for MH4U
Both the ZL and RL (even after remapping) will not trigger in the config setup

I also tired to see if I could remap the 3DS d-Pad to the GameCube C-Stick, but cant seem to do that also

Anything that I might be missing with this? Of was it not designed to do what I am looking for?
Granted, I will still use it as is - Keeps my hands off the big 3DS and in a better more comfortable place. :)

Problem Solved: You must still have the IR sensor installed for CPP emulation - You can not rebind the GC analog sticks to other buttons

Hey Loopy,

I just placed an order for the controller mod board with international shipping.
How much more would it cost to add an extra mod board onto the order to save on shipping?
I may want to add another mod board onto the order before you ship if that's okay.

No, I'm not going to be working on USB-based controllers. If I were to add support for newer controllers (don't get your hopes up) I'd rather use Bluetooth instead.

Does the CPP analog stick work? If so, I can't imagine why its buttons wouldn't work either. It's all sent over the same wire. I haven't played MH4U, are you sure the button mapping you're trying to do works with an actual CPP?

The mod does not let you map the GC analog sticks to other buttons.
