The board is nothing you have to worry about, you can simlpy detach it by opening the latch for the flatcable.
But the flatcable has to be reinstalled!
And no, this is not a current picture of the flatcable, since 2 years not anymore!
And you have to take off the flatcable completely! Since the upper and lower region is covering the points you have to solder it too ...

Yes, you can just bring it to the shop. FYI: turn around time will be 3-5 days so you will have to come back to pick it up as we have other repairs to do.

As for the capture mod. i'll do it for you, but moving forward i will most likely charge a bit more just to do a pre-modded system for others that ask as it requires extra work and the potential chance of accidental damage that i have to account for.

Just so you can feel a bit confident of who your sending items to. I have a professional work station and consists of:

(not practical stuff anyone would just buy for fun. unless you have cash to blow.)

- JBC Soldering Irons: http://www.howardelectronics.com/jbc/so ... tions.html
- EDSYN Desoldering: http://www.all-spec.com/products/zd500dx.html
- BGA Rework Station: http://goo.gl/rcHsZ6
- And a bunch of other stuff.. hot air station, laser engraver, 3d printer, etc...

And here's my company video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAYOOxUhgis

I appreciate the gesture. So would I be required to pay the full price if I supplied the board for the controller mod when I send in my 3DS since I already have one? I realize you are running a business here, so I understand if that would not be the case, just curious.

Any word on how installations have been going? As people before me have said, this is definitely something I want to try to get working on my 3DS, but something I also definitely don't want to leave up to my questionable hardware skills.

I'll be doing my controller mod soon when I receive the parts, after that I will offer installation service.
I'll put a video on YouTube to show what the final thing would look like, and that it's working of course.

I'm gonna check how I would get the whole payments and shipping done, that shouldn't be much trouble. I live in Canada, but there should not be import fees. Anyways, I'm really happy that I'll finally be able to use my Gamecube controller on my 3DS, I had been looking to do that since back in 2011 :D

Considering putting in an order but have a few questions. First, since the default service includes the Gamecube adapter I would also like to purchase the classic controller option to use primarily with Monster Hunter 4U. Does this modification support circle pad pro emulation? Nothing would make me happier than using the right analog stick of the classic controller pro to pan the camera around whilst I move accordingly with the left analog stick. Also, the 1 to 1 mapping is a bonus. Secondly, I am a bit confused by the "This product (3DS Controller Mod) is available to ship to the following US regions:" section. I don't live in any of those cities but I do live about 30 minutes from Sacramento, CA. Do you not ship orders to peoples address'?

I know for a fact that I'm reviving a few month old thread (and probably should be contacting you directly), but will you be able to/are you already offering the DualShock 1/2 extension for the controller mod?
