Was wondering does the controller mod work with the New 3DS XL mod? And if so what points are needed?

From what I tested so far everything except the cpp emulation works. Also it might be trickier to install due to limited space and the contact spots aren't labeled on the board.

Do you have any pictures of the points you used? I'm planning on opening my new 3DS tonight; don't want to go in blind.

No. I haven't mapped them all out yet.

So there's some 4pin ribbon connectors that dont need the tab lifted to pull out the ribbon. In fact it seems like lifting the tab actually damages the connector.

That's interesting that the CPP emulation doesn't work. Does a real CPP work? I guess I'll have to pick up a U.S. N3DS for testing.

Every pin on the mcu is being used. I'd need to switch to a larger one to fully support the N3DS (2 more buttons + analog nubbin)

I don't have a real cpp to test it out.

The New 3DSXL is a couple mm wider than the older XL models. An older circle pad pro won't fit on the new models. If it could, it would be pressing on the zl and zr buttons anyway.

The n3ds/xl emulates the CPP with the new cstick. Any old game that used CPP is able to use the cstick (some sort of software hack they did to emulate CPP). I am pretty positive the CPP does not work though.

Wondering what the status on this was? And/or if anyone has done this yet and if they have a guide of some sort.

I'll probably end up doing this at some point but would rather have some sort of reference so I don't screw up too much.

@loopy is the N3DS going to be apart of your future releases? Is the 3DS and the N3DS too different to use your existing guides for reference?
