Is it possible to fix a damaged stick?

Hello, i been using a 3ds with a capture card i bought around 2014, it still works perfectly, the problem i have at this moment is that the analog stick is starting to malfunction, like not beign able to recognize / \ upwards unless i force the stick rlly on those directions, is there a way to fix the problem?
