Quick little question about installing the NDS capture kit

Some mounth before, i have buyed a NDS install kit, but by watching again the tutorial, i have seen that i have forget one step, the one that asked you to remove the paper to stick the chip in the console. So for all this time it is not stuck in the console. But I wanted to know if it was something so serious given that technically the chip is well placed in relation to the components '^'
