3DS footage (audio and video) stop being shown on PC

Sometimes in the past my 3DS stopped showing game footage on my PC, that was fixed unplugging and plugging again the USB cable. I was streaming, that happened again and now my console shows a black screen with no audio on my PC. I switched USB cables, tried with different USB ports but none of those options fixes the issue.

Is there a way to fix that or to know if my capture board still alive?? My PC still recognizing it when I plug it, but capture software doesn't show nothing. I tried to use an old build and none of those show something on my PC. I'm on Windows 10, have a GTX 1060 and my board is one of the new ones that loopy began selling on last year.

Something additional I would like to mention is that I have noticed that the back of my console (where capture board is) turns a bit hot after using it for a while. I don't know if for this issue and the one mentioned above I should send back my console to loopy
