What will happen with Installed games?

In order to add the capture card, do you need to erase all data? Can I recover my 3ds games and save data if data is deleted?

Nothing is erased during the installation of the capture card.

You won't need to erase anything. If you have anything on an sd card, keep the card with you and send your system to loopy. You'll be golden and still have your games. *Personal experience talking*
