3ds or 3dsxl

So I've read that it will take 2 months for the xl card to be finished. So I don't like waiting, so will it make a big difference for me to buy a normal 3ds. Because the r button always breaks on my Nintendo handhelds. (5 repairs in one year time) and I prefer a larger screen but I to wait 2 months for that.
What do you guys think?

I think if you want a bigger screen, you need to wait.
If you don't want to wait, you'll have to settle for the smaller 3DS.

What is really important for me is the shoulder buttons. Are they less likely to break on the xl than the normal 3ds? Or are they mede excact the same way?
