Do any hand grips work for the 3ds with capture card?

Topic. i understand that the Circle pad pro needs a bit of work done to it(which by the way, loopy, if i send one in with my 3ds can you modify it so it can work?). but i was also wondering if any grips out there work with the capture card installed. the 3ds is just a little bit too small, which is why i own a XL as well. but i do not want to get the XL modded, because as i understand it, the IR port is removed for XL.

The IR port is not removed. This is what Katsukity does.

Loopy currently does not yet offer a mod for the XL There are several threads in this forum in regards to the 3DS XL capture mod.
