Yes, "old" 3DS boards won't go away, though they'll probably be redesigned too at some point.

payday coming up got a 4.5 XL and a 4.5 Normal 3DS. gotta make decisions which one to get a capture board installed lol

Nice, so I'm not the only one who's wanting to get a capture card for a 3DS XL that hasn't been upgraded past a certain firmware version for, umm, no particular reason whatsoever =^-^=

Lol I didn't preserve. Bought 4.5 ones off eBay

I just bought a regular 3DS at 4.1 that came with the "no reason whatsoever" for $150 total. Looks like we are going to be one of the small handful of people who have capture cards on that "no reason whatsoever" 3DS.
