Loopy, have you considered a Vita Video/Audio Capture Board?

Post by hexcode99 » Tue Nov 11, 2014 12:58 pm

Hi Loopy,

I was wondering if you were considering or are considering adding a Vita capture board to you lineup?
And have you considered supporting USB 3.0 to deal with the increased bandwidth requirements for 960x544p60 RGB/24 capture + audio with the Vita?

Thanks

I'd be very interested in one myself, especially for the Slim. There are enough restrictions and annoyances with that other guy's product to make Loopy's version worthwhile.

Hopefully it's coming way, way down the line and not cancelled altogether. I'd still like to see the 3DS controller mod and XL card come out first...

A Vita capture board would be cool, but the release of the Playstation TV probably helps sate a lot of needs for some folks who want to stream Playstation Vita games. I know not all games are compatible, but a decent amount are.

Of course, it requires that you have a capture card for your PC and a handy device to take care of the HDCP issue.

I wonder if it'll take advantage of the vestigial scaler chip in the vita that's being used in the Vita TV?
