Not easy at all, it's nothing you just desolder and simply stick on in two minutes
Removing it without damaging the traces is difficult, because you are pulling couple of things at the same time, plus applying lots of heat will damage the traces too.
Then putting it back on place, that it holds all the inserts and pulls for a long time, isn't easy as well...
If you are really interested of doing it yourself, then start practise on something you got of the junkyard.
So if something goes wrong you do not loose 150$.
Do youself a favour and better ask Neal (Loopy) to do the replacement for you. As he has done lot of that and pay what he wants for the work...
