Contrary to what I've told people earlier - it looks like I WILL be able to produce more of them after all.

Problem was the LCD cable connector used by the DS is out of production, making them difficult to find (and there is no available substitute part). I was able to secure another supply recently, so I can build more now. It'll likely be a couple of months before they're back up for sale though.

Awesome news. Any updates on the 3ds xl boards? Or the software rather?

I'm traveling overseas right now, I won't be back for 2 more weeks. I'll have a better answer then when I can look at where things are at. Between another job, moving, other personal stuff, it's been a while since I've worked on anything.

XL? I suppose ~in theory~ it could be ready in a few days, but I don't know. I'm pretty sure the hardware is ok. There were some communication issues last time I looked at it. I bought a USB protocol analyzer to help with debugging a while ago, and that's where I left off at.

Nothing's going on with original 3ds right now... I hoped I could move away from the old design, but if there is still demand for it I guess could make another batch of boards. It'd take another month or so, I'd need to get plastic cases, cables made for it too.

Have a safe trip. I wonder if the XL ones also have to do with New 3DS XL since well, I'm ready to retire my old 3DS after like 7 years. I had it with a capture board for more than 4.

When do you think you'll start selling the DS ones again?

I expect another month or so. I don't have a date, I probably won't know until they arrive.
They're ordered and paid for though, it's just a matter of time.
