I received the ds capture board kit. Did all the steps. Tried to test it, but my ds wont turn on. When i plug in the charger, the light flashes orange for a minute and then goes off. I am aware that this could be a fuse problem. However, the ds was working perfectly prior to me attempting to install the board, so I dont know what went wrong. I am pretty sure I did all the steps correctly. what should I do?

The light from the charger doesn't mean much. What happens when you push the power button? Is it completely dead? If it turns on for a second and shuts off, the fuse isn't blown. The DS won't stay on if the screen cable isn't in right. If it's completely dead the fuse is probably blown. I can fix it if you send it in. Or, if you are handy at soldering I can show you what to fix but if you don't correct the cable(s) then it's still not going to work.

The vast majority of problems on the DS comes from the cables not being in right. If it's crooked or not pushed in all the way, the DS will not work. Sometimes it blows a fuse too but not always.

when i press the power button, nothing happens. So its dead. Lol I got so mad i already bought a preinstalled one. The only reason why I bought the kit was because the pre installed ones werent in stock. How much to fix it for me?

Send just the DS with the board.
If you sent it out today, you'd probably get it back by middle of next week (priority shipping usually takes 2 days. I'd get it Saturday, send it out Monday, you'd have it by Wednesday).

Do you need the gold flex that came with it too?

If it's still usable, yes.
If it's already bent up / broken / thrown away then don't worry about it.
