A few questions I have about ordering.

Hi. I was planning on sending in my O3DS to get a capture board installed. I just have a few questions though:
1. Does the O3DS have to be modded in any way before I send it?
2. Would it be recommended to have it on the latest 3DS firmware?

No and no.

This is a hardware modification, the 3DS itself is completely unchanged. Doesn't matter what firmware it is or what's installed, it's extra cables from the video port and then some.
