System Transfer for the 3DS (For Pokemon Bank/Transporter)

This is more of a 3DS rather than a Capture Card question but if you do a system transfer with all the Pokemon VC, Bank, Transporter etc does it get deleted? Need to know because my capture card is coming in 2 days and all my downable content is on my 2DS XL. Thanks in advance.

No. Your account transfers over and it tells you to use (or copy over the data from) the source microSD card in the new one (saves time, keeps save data). You can still redownload all of your purchases and updates from the eshop.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but do we put the micro SD card from the 2DS XL to the 3DS (in the case) during the system transfer. Again sorry can't find a reliable YT video.

You do it after the transfer is over. After it's over, it'll warn you 2-3 times when you turn on the 3DS to insert the micro SD card from the new 2DS XL. After that (either you ignored the warning all 3 times or you put in the micro SD card), it'll boot to the home menu.

Just to be sure because you didn't specify, you can only do a transfer from old to "New" consoles, and "New" to "New", and they must be from the same region.

Also, any pre-installed games have to be redownloaded from the eshop.

1. Both mine 3DS and my 2DS are both American.

2. So all your downloadable content, will be on the e-shop, but Pokémon transporter isn't directly downloaded through there so will it be there?

You can redownload it from the pokemon bank.
