DS Capture Card Magenta and Green Colour, No error

Post by houli » Tue Aug 15, 2023 8:44 pm

Hi,
I've installed the DS capture card and I am seeing a magenta and green colour as evidenced in the screenshot of the software. This same colour is coming through on the DS screen itself if that helps debug. There are no errors when I press F12 while the capture is running. I may have gotten a bit of solder on the component below the flex cable that I have marked on the image which could be responsible but I'm not sure what that component is.

The green actually is not an issue, I had forgotten that icon had a green background, really just seems to be an issue with the pink/magenta all over the screens.

There also appears to be cross talk in some way between the top and bottom screen you can see in this image the character and the lines of the covers on the market stalls bleeding into the bottom screen as green lines and that updates in real time as I move around

Was able to resolve it. I believe the issue was that small component below the cable. With a magnifying glass it seems the bit of solder I'd gotten on it was bridging across some of the legs. I was able to slowly wick up the excess. I also touched up the solder points of the flex cable but all working now.
