3ds charging cradle

Has anyone had any success in modifying the charging cradle for the 3ds to fit the chunkier size of the loopy-modded 3ds? Was going to take a stab at doing this myself and wanted to see if others had tips.

I assume it's the original model 3DS, CTR-001, correct? If so, then it's probably nothing that a little 3D modeling and printing couldn't do. I'm not an expert on this sort of thing, so I apologize if that's not the best answer I could give.
