HOME Button not working

First, wanted to say thank you for your hard work and offering these capture kits for sale!

My HOME button doesn't work post self-install. I tried unplugging and replugging in the cable, but it still doesn't want to work.
Without unplugging everything and removing the board, the HOME button is snug and everything looks fine.

Any update on the issue? I'm having the same problem. Might go back in and make sure there aren't any bridged solder joints I suppose.

Hey so apparently, the solder joints for the home button connector aren't that strong and I must have bumped it enough to loosen one. The little black home button connector that the ribbon cable plugs into has 8 pins (Four on the front and four on the back) and what you may need to do is reflow the solder on both sides. I added some flux to the area and a tiny bit of solder to my solder tip and very briefly touched each one of the pins individually. I had my soldering iron set to 365c. This ended up fixing the issue. Make sure to use a small tip.
