A couple of questions before I buy

1. How long is the cord that comes with the 3DS when you send it back?
2. Could you send me a picture of a finished 3DS shell? I would like to see an example of the quality of hole that would be drilled into the shell.
3. (sorry for the long question) I have seen that its possible to use the port for the capture card to also charge the 3DS, would it be possible for you to solder the two wires required to do that? At the bottom of this post there is a video that goes over what I’m talking about, its just two wires that go from the capture card port, to the default charging port
4. (follow up to question 3) I’m no electrical expert, but could you tell a few things about charging it this way? Would it be bad for the capture card to just charge it (aka plug it in without a way to use the capture card, like not through a pc)? Could I use a usb from a block on a wall outlet to charge it this way (I’m asking this because idk if that would give it too much charge at once and damage components)? If there is anything else you think it would be useful for me to know about charging it this way please let me know.
5. What would happen if my 3DS were to be damaged? Would I be compensated?

Sorry for all the questions, thank you for any help!

1. It's a 2m cable.
2. There are some pictures on the instruction page - https://3dscapture.com/install/
3. The charging mod is included.
4. It's safe to charge through a wall charger.
5. If it's damaged, I'll repair or replace it.

How do you drill the hole in the shell for the port to fit into?

Are there any soldering irons you recommend? Also how would I cut a hole in the shell that looks nice without having a bit machine like you do? After looking at the guide there are only a few solder points, I could probably do that with the right equipment.
