There are some changes.

It captures 18 bit color (old design was 16bit). It's a small detail and probably won't be noticed in most cases...
Some more background on that.

And it captures audio. No need for an aux cable, and should sound cleaner since it's grabbing a digital audio source.

Loopy, you have no idea how happy reading that makes me.

Not having digital audio over usb was literally the only thing keeping me from buying this capture card, and now that that's fixed, I will buy one as soon as possible!

Theoretically if I were to click add to cart and pay what would happen? Can I just go ahead and send my system in and let it sit in limbo until the cards come in? Or would it just be refunded?

It would say it's unavailable when you try to checkout, so you can't buy it.

Merki saying they are getting boards in the next 2 weeks or so. Hopefully that means Loopy will open the gates back up since they provide for Merki.

Out of curiosity is the board the only thing that's changing? I already have one of the USB-C boards so being able to just open up my ds and swap out the board for an updated design would be really nice. If it doesn't work like that no worries.
