USB C charging on n3dsXL board?

Post by ChemNation » Fri Apr 26, 2024 12:32 am

I was wondering if there is any difference between the current N3DSXL boards and the first batch. I know that the USB charging cables weren't connected on the first group, but are now. Is it safe to attach the wires on the first batch of the N3DSXL boards?

It's fine to do so on the first batch (I had one). If the USB port is blue, red, and/or has the SuperSpeed logo on it, it'll be fine. If you're going to use a USB hub, use one that is externally powered to be safe. You can also charge it to full and it'll consume less power.

Looks there there are no wires. Does anyone know what gauge wires are used for the usb charging?

28 awg solid core wire. You can use larger if that's what you have.
