Re: Audio issues- constant popping noise

If video is fixed but audio isn’t, it could be a solder joint that looks fine but isn’t making proper contact. I’d advice you to check the specific points tied to the audio path like cold joints or tiny bridges. They can cause weird issues even if everything looks okay at first glance.

Re: new 3ds xl self install - Bottom Screen not displaying

If the backlight is on but no image, it sounds like a connection issue. Even if it looks seated, sometimes it’s not quite in all the way. I’d reseat the bottom screen ribbon and check for any bent pins just in case.

Hello
At that point you’ve ruled out most external causes, so it’s probably something on the capture board itself. Not sure there’s an easy fix unless the firmware gets updated. External audio capture might honestly be the simpler workaround.

Re: Record DS and earlier games in HD natively?

The DS itself only outputs at a pretty low native resolution, so what you’re seeing is normal. To get 720p+, you’d need to scale it up in editing or via capture software, but it won’t be native HD, just a cleaner scaled version.

Re: Question about 3DS Modding and Capture Card program

It doesn’t really matter technically, but I’d personally do the homebrew setup first. That way you know everything’s working and you’re not troubleshooting two things at once later. It keeps things simpler and avoids confusion.

Re: Order status

Thanks for the update! I appreciate you keeping the thread current—good to know the turnaround time is about 1–2 weeks now. Looking forward to hearing more as my order moves up the queue! For checking regional service times or delivery zones, this postcode tool might come in handy.
