That's what I made this thread for.
I'm not sure if I want to do "beta testing" first, but I will probably start out with a small number of them to make sure everything's good before doing a regular production run.

If you decide to do beta testing, I would definitely like to be considered for it! Happy to see this making progress!

Would love to get in on this one since I've wanted a 3DS CC for years. Is this going to be a "send in the console to be modded" type deal or just a DIY thing after buying the board?

I would Definately Love to get in on this too. I have a new 3ds XL. it's sitting on my shelf collecting dust right now because I can't record with it
