Where to install 3ds controller board on New 3DS XL?

Hi

So I have installed the capture card and I am not sure where I can put the 3DS controller board mod. Is around ZR the best area?

Assuming I trim the pins, some of the shell and flip the controller pins that go into it.

Separate the connector and use wires to connect it to the board. Place the board here.

Ah ok. Any tips for getting R's trace. The trace is small and I cant get magnet wire to stick to it even with flux.

Does solder stick to it at least? If not, scratch off a bit more of the soldermask. Or try stranded wire.

Really thin solder but at least connected to the connector for sure. Like big blobs won't stick. Annoyingly, broke both triggers and inner camera cables. Transferred capture card and audio somehow to my better 3ds xl. I was surprised that audio worked since the ribbon cable was a mess to align again.

Will probably try stranded wire in the future once i get the parts and maybe another capture card lol.
