Issues with my capcard software

I was hoping I could get some help from you guys, when I plug my 3DS with capcard into a PC it asks for the product key, but I have no idea what that it, I was told to go on mac, use the 'new3DS_view' software and it would let me see the product key, this was true, but for some reason my mac straight up refuses to recognise the 3DS any more, it used to work fine. I did buy this thing from the, forgive my language, disgracefully bad Katsukity service. I do however have a loopy classic DS capcard system and it works like a dream, I know I'm asking a lot but does anyone have any idea as to how I can either get my product key or get the contraption to work on my mac? Thank you.

Purchased new, you were supposed to have gotten a piece of paper with the key.

Purchased used and you didn't get the key on a piece of paper or otherwise? You're hosed.

Thank you! I'll take a look for that documentation, I assume I would need my specific product key, yes? I couldn't just use someone else's?
