How to not damage the USB Cable Connector?

like everytime I hook it up to my 3DS few times the display goes on and off and I dont want to keep buying mini usbs everytime it goes bad.. So How to you keep the cable working and not damage it? :)

To start with, try to take the cable in and out gentely, don't force it to go in or out.
If you have a chair with wheels, don't ride over your cable.
When taking the cable in or out, never pull/push the cable, just the head, and yes, carefully.
Don't swing with it like a lasso or a rope.
Don't stand on it.
Don't bend it.

Aka, same rules as with any other cable.

I would also like to add that if you have some type of anger management, control it as best as possible unless you want your fancy new 3ds/capture card/3ds xl/anything nintendo related ending up like this - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.ph ... count=6326
