old DS Capture Board – Yellow Tint Issue

Post by Potatos » Sun Jan 18, 2026 7:24 am

Hello,

I installed the capture board on my original Nintendo DS and completed the assembly. Both the video output and audio output are working correctly on my PC. However, the displayed image has a strong yellow tint, and the colors are not shown properly. The screen itself appears normal, but the color reproduction is incorrect.

I’m not sure whether this issue is caused by an incorrectly connected cable or a problem with my soldering work. Could you advise what the most likely cause might be and what I should check to resolve this problem?

Thank you for your assistance.

I purchased the board in Korea, and this email has been translated from Korean into English.

Hello! I’m sorry you’re having trouble. I am 100% sure that this is a soldering issue. Use flux on all of your solder joints and add fresh solder
