Re: Sooooo.....
loopy, I am curious if you know what you will charge for the cards.
I would like to try to make an installation video to maybe alleviate some of the tech support suffering that you run into, but will probably need to purchase more than one to do this. So I wanted to try and make sure that money is set aside

Me personally, I lack the skills and materials to install the board myself. I wonder how much it would be to send my N3DS to someone to install it for me...

I hope it's around $150. Cuz that's how much I can afford.

Re: Sooooo.....
To be honest, I have so many questions, it's just that I would rather wait until everything is finalized before I ask them, but it's nice to see that you have a game plan and motivation to return and set everything straight. We all hang out here because we would like 3DS capture boards (some of us have it to sell), so it's essential for us to have the required patience.

The original boards were $200, and that's how much he kept on selling them for, as seen here:AaronS6799 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 11:40 pmI hope it's around $150. Cuz that's how much I can afford.

No reason to think it'll somehow be cheaper until he says otherwise.

Re: Sooooo.....
Mind you, I'm not asking for them to be cheaper, but I am asking about just the part for DIY install, not pre-installed. The same page referenced has the old boards as $15 for this purpose.
Just trying to plan a little ahead here but I guess it's not so important.

That's clearly just for the controller mod. The capture card board was, well, 10 times that.DoctorGamester wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 4:08 pmMind you, I'm not asking for them to be cheaper, but I am asking about just the part for DIY install, not pre-installed. I wouldn't call it "hardcore electronics work" (as silvermoon551 puts it) but you do need to know what you're doing. More than once I've seen people take it to a "professional", paid more money than what I charge, watch them fuck it up and have to send it back to me to fix it. When I say you need soldering experience, that doesn't mean "melted something with a soldering iron one time". If you look at the instructions and think "meh, that's easy, what's the big deal?" then you're probably fine.I used to offer it as an install kit for $150, but I stopped because most people had trouble with it and had to return it. I'll sell you one if you want, but it's not easy to install. You need to have soldering experience and the tools to install it. There are some instructions here - http://3dscapture.com/install/index.html

Oh, Well, that's the kind of board I would be looking for.triple_lei wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 4:28 pmThat's clearly just for the controller mod. The capture card board was, well, 10 times that.

When do you think the prototype will become final?
